Norman linen, an organic fiber
The flax is sowed in March or April and reaches maturity in July (100 days).
Growing flax requires very few agricultural inputs, it grows with rain so there is no need to irrigate.
The linen fiber is naturally, hyperallergic, temperature-regulating, anti-bacterial, absorbent and biodegradable.

Uprooting & Retting
The mature flax is about one metre high, it is uprooted and let flat in the fields.
Rain and sun will free the fibers, it is called retting.
Scutching, hackling & carding
These mechanical operations made in a linen mill, allow to release the fiber from its bark.
